Mix Seafood Strifry with Oyster Sauce
Mix Seafood Strifry with Oyster Sauce is another simple mix seafood dish created from marinara mix that is intended to be use in Spaghetti Marinara. Last month on our post of Mixed Seafood Adobo I did mentioned that, I always have this question of what dish shall I cook with the mixed seafood, beside Spaghetti Marinara, well here is another one, Mix Seafood Strifry with Oyster Sauce.
To cook my Mix Seafood Strifry with Oyster Sauce, I had to strifry each seafood type on the marinara mix separately, so with the vegetables, then lastly stirfry all the ingredient together.
Here is the recipe of my Mix Seafood Strifry with Oyster Sauce.
Ingredients:
1/ kilo mixed seafood, marinara mix
1 small carrot, skinned, sliced thinly
1 small size red bell pepper, trimmed, deseeded, cut into strips
4-6 cobs young corns, sliced diagonally
3-4 stalks parsley, chopped
1 small size onion, peeled, sliced in wedges
3-4 clove garlic, peeled, crushed, chopped
2 tbsp. oyster sauce
1 tbsp. Hoisin sauce
2 tbsp. soy sauce
2 tbsp. of cornstarch
salt and ground peppercorns
peanut oil
Cooking procedure:
In a medium size frying pan or wok heat generous amount of oil. Segregate the seafood by type and stirfry in batches for 2 to 3 minutes or until each seafood are just cooked, remove from the wok and keep aside. The using the same wok, add more oil if required, stirfry the vegetables for 1 to 2 minutes or until half cooked, remove from the wok and keep aside. Now heat more oil on the same wok and stirfry the garlic and onion until fragrant. Stir in the soy sauce, oyster sauce, Hoisin sauce and 1/2 cup of water, let boil then add in the seafood, vegetables, parsley and some ground peppercorns. Stirfry for 1 to 2 minutes, now add in the cornstarch diluted in 1/4 cup of water, continue to stir cook for about 1 1/2 to 2 minutes, correct saltiness if required. Serve hot with a lot of rice.
