Breaded Pork Chop

Breaded Pork Chop
Breaded Pork Chop is another pork dish that is normally served at carinderias and most likely your canteen. They are popular also in fast food restaurant. Most Pinoy love this dish with a lot of banana ketchup as a dipping sauce and some like them hot and spicy and prefer chili sauce for the dipping sauce. The original recipe call for coating the pork chop with bread crumbs and deep fried until crispy. I didn’t have the bread crumbs at that time so used all purpose flour instead. The breading is basically the same with my Kentucky fried chicken, I simply rub the pork chops with salt and pepper and let stand for at least 15 minutes before coating. Here is how I cooked it.

Ingredients:

1 kilo pork chops
1 tsp. garlic powder
1 egg, beaten
1/4 cup fresh milk
2 cups all purpose flour
salt and pepper
cooking oil

Cooking procedure:

Breaded Pork Chop - Cooking Procedure

Rub pork chops with salt and pepper and let stand for 15-20 minutes. Beat egg and add in milk in a big bowl, in another big bowl, mix flour, baking powder, garlic powder and season with salt and pepper to taste. Dip each pork chop one piece at a time in the egg and milk mixture then coat with the dry flour mixture. Place the coated pork chop on a platter until ready to fry. Deep fry the pork chop, dropping one piece at a time and in batches for 10-12 minutes, or until golden brown at medium to high heat. Turn over the pork chop halfway for even cooking. Remove por chop and drain excess oil in a colander or paper towels. Serve with ketchup or sweet chili sauce.

  1. i have tried a variety of recipes for porkchop but I haven't find the taste that I was craving for - the carenderia breaded porkchop taste.

I think this your recipe might make me achieve it.

Btw, there's a little typo on the procedure: "Place the coated chicken on a platter until ready to fry."
just in case other people will be confused.
